First, I thought about telling you all how Fiona has exemplified the St John’s way in everything she has done in her time at the college, but I’m pretty sure you know that already. I also thought about telling you that no matter what we asked of Fiona, and what challenge we threw at her, she always delivered with a smile.

Although Fiona initially joined us as learning support teacher, she ended up teaching enterprise, administering NCCD, setting up the SOAR program – its enormous success is primarily due to Fiona’s efforts – careers, individualised pathways and Uni courses, scholarship monitoring, work experience, learning support and a whole bunch of other things I have forgotten. 

Fiona approached all of these requests with a beaming smile, the response “yea, I can do that”, and always would deliver a fantastic product.
